Lion, UK Keyboard and the # Key [SOLVED]

hi all,

purchased new air lion , wasn't long till stumbled upon ol' # key problem.

problem when press alt + 3 on lion switches desktop 3 in mission control. or if don't have desktop 3 in mission control, nothing.

viewing keyboard viewer though can still see # key mapped alt + 3.

trick open mission control , make 4 desktops, if don't want use them i'm sorry you'll need leave them open.

go system preferences -> keyboard -> keyboard shortcuts

select mission control , untick mission control in right hand side. can leave 'move left/right space' option plus <-/-> arrows, i've taken off completely, might swipe trackpad.

switch desktop alt/1234 unticked close system preferences. next time press alt + ¡€#¢ you'll symbols in place.

if don't have 4 desktops open in mission control, not see option untick keyboard shortcuts , first 2 work.

tried searching couldn't see else solved apologies duplicating.

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
