Smart Folders Broken?

i tried modifying smart folder via 'show search criteria' command.

when window change search criteria appears previous search settings gone. file seems saved automatically.

i've tried restarting finder , rebooting imac. same strange behavior on mbp.

else getting same odd results?

What's the max amount of RAM an iMac can have to run BootCamp & Parallels Windows 7?
