MBP sometimes won't charge. Problem with power or PRAM?
i've been having trouble past month mbp charging. @ coffee shop several hours laptop plugged in , didn't have trouble. did software update laptop , iphone, don't think pertinent power. if remember correctly, safari , other small update. anyway, when went home plugged in again later evening, since needed charge phone again. can recall, charging, when woke had stopped charging , battery had died. tried cleaning connection , plugged different outlet. started charging again, long enough give me 30 minutes of battery charge. may have stopped charging when plugged phone in again, didn't notice right away.
tried resetting pram , didn't help. week before able take apple store. however, when took in, charged without problem. tested adapter , worked fine in machine , in 1 @ store. there didn't seem problem iphone, tell.
took home , able charge again. however, couple days ago went coffee shop , plugged in stopped charging. had things do, let battery die. when got home tried charging again , worked.
haven't plugged in phone since problem started, or else, it's not problem usb. battery has had "service" status several months, when went apple store checked , @ 80%, it's low not low. every time battery dies pram settings reset. thing has been consistent in instances when stops charging (other first time) changed date/time settings automatically detect (i don't have internet access @ home have been setting manually until go online). if that's case, sounds problem pram, don't know if that's coincidence. far haven't put automatic , haven't had trouble being able charge, , it's been couple days. however, don't want spend $40 on new pram battery if it's power problem.
advice on or other tests can do?

2.2 ghz processor
snow leopard 10.6.7
pram/nvram has nothing power/charging/battery issues. resetting not help. try resetting smc, instructions in following link under charging.
