Airport Extreme Base Station Kicked the Bucket

woke morning find no internet. base station cold , dead after 5.5 years of service. :( shall have , proper burial him.

i'm stuck using linksys wrt54gc wireless router doesn't play macs , iphones. can't configured wifi. when work, slow speeds, barely 1mbps. base station, 15 normal. 15 when connecting ethernet cable.

have suggestions on configuring router mb , mbp?
