Hard disks setup ideas for 27" 2011 imac

hi all,

i’ve order 27 inch imac replace current pc, i’m looking add ssd , 2 momentus xt hybrid 2.5" hd machine. i’d love feedbacks see if idea work before machine gets here 28th.

reading threads on forum, ideal setup use current 128gb ssd boot disk osx, windows 7, , assign momentus each os.

i’ll replace 1 tb hd 2 momentus using mounting bracket list on forum , run sata cable though ram slot window on bottom of machine , mount ssd externally. way don’t have dissemble motherboard install ssd, allows easy upgrade 256gb ssd.

can suggest problems setup or have suggestion? i’d have feedbacks on possible problems fan speed please.

reading first post , looking forward hand dirty on imac.

 

frankly, brave planning this. should read this article first, , should read article references @ owc. replacing hard drives in imac not inexperienced, voids warranty unless done apple authorized repair centre. note problems replacement hard drives , thermal sensors in 2011 imacs. realize how little space there inside imac?

if still want try this, best of luck, wouldn't.
