MBP and the OX Lion upgrade

on march 20, 2011, ordered macbook pro. various unrelated reasons returned laptop twice. recently, think june 1,2011, picked new replacement mbp fedex. know today apple announced july launching of lion, , customers purchase today receive free upgrade. tonight when returned work, telephoned apple in order find out whether entitled free lion upgrade. bottom line not have definite answer inquiry. however, anticipate required pay upgrade. no doubt not first consumer has received mac within 2 weeks of announcement of ox upgrade. know apple's policy respect consumers fall category? obviously, within 2 week period return mbp.
 

it's $29. think expect if want go through hassle of returning lion free go it.
