2011 iMac SSD+HDD -- looks like my SSD is a dud


before asks, yes, i've ticket open applecare on one.

i've been experiencing intermittent filesystem corruption. now, there chance *could* firmware issue. not sure yet. had escalated engineering level support, won't response until long wednesday. had submit fair number of logs , system data apple's capture data utility.

fun aside, filesystem corruption "mysteriously disappears". example, may detectable while volume mounted , i'm in os x, , it's undetectable while booted off restore dvd attempt use disk utility there. , vice versa.

ended calling applecare after noticing serious wonkiness time machine, wanted process 24,000 or files before backup number of files (including zero). there cases apps incapable of launching, or file i/o came standstill. i'm 8 weeks after placing original order... , still don't have imac in hands (that's problem free).
