Admin Problems after installing Lion

a few years ago, on 1 week old imac, had similar problem had trash can.

lived few weeks. knew leopard being released , people @ apple store told me bring in imac , install leopard on @ no charge.

installed leopard , there many odd bugs when testing it, ran diagnostics on imac. turned out hard disk defective , ended giving me new imac.

Mail will not Quit when shutting down

5.1 audio out with hdmi? MBP 15inch 2011

i've gone through 2 adapters , endless hours of trying 5.1 audio receiver via hdmi or optical , can't seem work. well, let me correct myself. got work in osx whenever start vlc audio goes 7.1 random configuration comes out of side speaker. can't seem dts or ac3 consistently output vlc receiver. if have use optical don't care want work. got normal audio not dts or ac3 work osx. using bootcamp , windows 7 got vlc output ac3 via optical receiver. never got hdmi sound output in other 2 channel in windows. anyway if can spread light on how accomplish appreciated @ moment using http://www.kanexlive.com/v2 claim pass uncompressed 5.1/7.1 dts , ac3 through. entire thing frustrating. technical support laughable.   bump   Forums Macs Notebooks ...
