Mail refreshes screen and marks mail as read

does know how stop mail screen refreshing often. missing many emails because marks them read somehow , quite often. don't realize have new mail because little blue dot gone. has experienced problem?

part of think problem when done reading email, cursor has on something highlighted without marking read because in idle position. when mail screen refreshes, marks place cursor sitting "read". haven't read miss email. make sense?

5.1 audio out with hdmi? MBP 15inch 2011

i've gone through 2 adapters , endless hours of trying 5.1 audio receiver via hdmi or optical , can't seem work. well, let me correct myself. got work in osx whenever start vlc audio goes 7.1 random configuration comes out of side speaker. can't seem dts or ac3 consistently output vlc receiver. if have use optical don't care want work. got normal audio not dts or ac3 work osx. using bootcamp , windows 7 got vlc output ac3 via optical receiver. never got hdmi sound output in other 2 channel in windows. anyway if can spread light on how accomplish appreciated @ moment using http://www.kanexlive.com/v2 claim pass uncompressed 5.1/7.1 dts , ac3 through. entire thing frustrating. technical support laughable.   bump   Forums Macs Notebooks ...
