i made switch editing on mac , i'm little disappointed. whilst think imovie looks pretty cool indeed i'm @ loss on how transfer footage sony hd tg3 cam (.mts) avchd blue-ray (dvd-r). imovie worked fine, took 350% cpu , 10 mins import 15mins of 1080i footage (.mts format). said needed hour export in 1080p. 1) there way export , create avchd disk on dvd-r 2) there anyway burn cam footage disk without important encoding , exporting? on windows bundled software had 1 touch burn option. took 10 - 15 mins create dvd without editing.   i'm looking answer on also. right workflow process use imovie import , convert mts files mov. takes 1:2x real time. mov files imovie 5-6 times bigger original mts files. use quicktime convert 1080p, shrinks down 1/10th size. takes 1:4x real time. ends file can fit on dvd. there faster way, ends take me 6-8 hours eve...
