Spilt Milk, still working but Battery problem question

hello everyone, first post on site , sad inform how irresponsible , spilt whole glass of milk on macbook pro. :( did flip on , unscrewed case , wiped our milk could. problem had no idea how disconnect battery power, found no connector , said "do not remove battery" not knew how to. proceeded put on floor in tent shape , had mini fan blow on 2 , half days. plugged in , bam turned on. computer screen , body covered in looked milk dust/film, guessing milk dried , blew through keys mini fan. worked flawlessly besides of key lights gone, tgv , u bright. , thing need figuring out when take charger cord out instantly turns off? battery fried? or circuit fried? wondering if buying new battery fix or if need send in? kind of stinks can't take advantage of new macbook pros lengthly battery time anymore. our suggestions appreciated. thank you!
 

you know as us. can guess @ problem...could battery...could else...i take in apple care , have them diagnose , tell problem is.
