Changing dock settings based on active display

google not helping me today, thought i'd ask here see if possible.

i'm looking way have dock settings change based on display using. have white macbook. when using laptop display no external display plugged in, dock smaller , hidden. @ work, though, plug in 24" external display. when becomes active monitor, i'd settings change show larger icons , un-hide dock. when unplug monitor @ end of day, i'd go it's original settings. there app or setting or can use make happen?
