Trouble with ipad

i'm having trouble ipad. first of lost means send or receive emails, screen blank, , google earth playing up. i've been france, , trouble started on there. in uk i've tried reset ipad, , screen has gone blank apart spinning wheel, , can't switch off. help:confused:
