My Macs won't recognize my card reader anymore

just taken couple of photos on camera, removed card, placed in card reader, plugged reader usb port on desktop mac....

....nothing. little blue light on reader flashes, card doesn't mount.

i've tried on macbook , doesn't see there either.

there anyway can force mount? software out there identify external hardware?

ah, have development.

it's mounted, sort of. folder appears, won't let me access images. i'm getting folders shown in attached image.

when open itunes, sees folder, says there no images upload. ideas?

CoD on Mac is Stuck in fail windowed mode.
