hi everyone, got 2011 128gb i5 11" mba (samsung ssd). didn't want pay £250 upgrade 256gb, managed 256gb (toshiba ssd) 2010 mba ebay price. plan switch ssd , sell 2010 on minor loss. opened both machines, went smoothly 2010 mba. 128gb ssd fine, booted usb stick lion on , began installing lion no problems. 11" being troublesome. 256gb ssd had fresh install of lion on, wouldn't boot it. tried booting recovery hd. wouldn't it- grey apple appears turns 'no entry' sign, , turns off. swapped ssd's back, , had same problem booting usb on 2011 (no entry). instead selected recovery partition , has worked. seems 2011 work sad shipped with in short, 256gb in 2011, cannot past apple sign whatever do. i've managed hardware test , says there no problems. have ideas or solutions why 256gb causes issues? appreciated.   its because cannot install version o...

hey all, curious if ever got problem external monitor hook ups: running base model 13 inch mba monoprice mini display adapter. it's mdp dvi. occurs randomly, i'm either browsing or watching video, screen blink , fuzz. problem goes away when turn off monitor or switch inputs mac. when do, refresh screen (the blue @ first) desktop. don't think it'd video card problem since works fine when not plugged monitor. maybe adapter? running dell2709w. thanks.   its software issue, mini had issue while software update while fixed it. can try different adapter software issue. using latest version of os x? just set mail app in lion, worked fine few days i'm having problems. use gmail personal email , webmail work. had used web interfaces before, need offline access email. set mail both accounts. many work people use personal address, move work emails sent gmail inbox work inbox. worked fine first few days, work account seems check mail when start app. can send myself email work account, or move mail personal work account, , don't show up. when click "check mail" gives me little beep telling me there no new mail. gmail account not have problem, pulls emails fine @ time. must quit mail , restart new mails show in work inbox. when visit web interface show there fine. settings gmail , work accounts identical, , program set check new mail every 5 minutes. ideas on happened , how fix it? thanks!   update: ipod touch, has accessed both accounts several months now, not have problem gett...
