i've been fan of 13" notebooks past few years because portability important me. came ipad , macbook air , pointless have macbook pro 13. it's been acting file server couple of months , hardly left house. bring air out office , leave 13" @ home , there times when 11 , 13 small. looked @ craigslist yesterday hell of , got $1100 (also posted in last purchased thread)... apple macbook pro 15 (2010) 2.66 ghz intel core i7 8gb ram 500gb, nvidia geforce 330m 512mb apple care until 10/8/2013 fired , omg, difference in both performance , screen size. also, holding mbp 13 , 15 1 on each hand, there isn't of weight difference when carrying in laptop bag. i'm 5'8, 160 , carrying around 15" doesn't feel heavier 13. take more real estate on desk if need carry small, there's ipad or air that. , don't have tablet or ultra portable, there isn't can't on smartphone can on laptop. i'm off install re

i've been experiencing past 2 days now. whenever turn computer on, i'm able go on safari , mail (i ichat also, it's not working reason). anyway, when put imac sleep, , wake up, i'm getting error on safari, saying i'm not connected internet. charter modem has lights on green. airport express has green light on. (i'm using wireless connection). wifi signal strength on top right corner of screen on full. when click on network diagnostics, got green light 6 categories. imac connected internet, reason, every time wake sleep mode, says i'm not connected. spent 55 minutes apple care, first 20 minutes guy, before transferred me supervisor further assistance. did said, pulling power cord, holding down power button 15 seconds , turning imac on, deleting bunch of files , caches, changing airport location, doing hard reset airport express. went through stuff, , nothing helped. couldn't figure out wrong! am experiencing pro

well need new computer,i don't need new 1 specs want work.i want opinion.to choose imac g5 ppc or other model intel inside.i want computer last years (i know macs work years) heard first macs intel (the twins of imac g5)had problem , after 2 years max lines , problems appear.so question imac g5 ppc or intel ?   the g5 imacs suffered bad capacitors on motherboard , power supply, kills system, wouldn't go way, since you'll giving features running ms windows via bootcamp , software upgrades. just got ssd today don't have caddy yet. i'd test out ssd though thinking pulling hard drive out , putting ssd in. questions are: if replace hard drive ssd , install osx, old hard drive osx screwed? hello. so, i'm new here, , posting in wrong forum, question. repair technician @ local computer shop. work on pc's, , not macs, due apple store being close us. (we're competition, apperently) few macs in work on data recovery. have seen many times mac come in , need data taken off of it. if had mac instore utility, not of problem, right? starts here. of our machines windows, ntfs, , macs hfs or hfs+. windows not support reading hfs+. there several programs in windows advertise being able read hfs, have never had luck them. either extremely slow, or take inaccurate data. think can find develop way of retrieving data, (currently exploring linux alternatives. 'dd' command current. (i use linux primarily, personally)) data recovery/transfer methods post results, many times seems directories copied 0 byte files, not capturing of data within. need community way of creating mac files if had mac system. either t
